Better than a Notion page
in the one place it matters.
A public Notion page in your bio is a completely reasonable first move — it is free, you already have it, and you can edit it from anywhere. It just is not built to be a mobile landing page, and it cannot tell you anything about who tapped what.
We do not quote other companies’ prices or feature lists here — those change, and being out of date about a competitor would be worse than saying nothing. Check a Notion page directly for what it costs and what it currently includes.
Sample Tapline page: The Long Way Round. Conversations with people who took the scenic route. Thursdays. Blocks in order: Ep. 112 — the surgeon (featured), Apple Podcasts, YouTube episodes, Thursday newsletter, Suggest a guest, Support the show.
A real Tapline page, rendered by the same code that serves published pages.
Credit where it is due
What a Notion page is genuinely good at.
Notion is a genuinely great tool and we use it. There is no snark here; the reasons people reach for it are sound.
It is free and you already have it
No new signup, no new bill, no new tool to learn. For a page you need in the next ten minutes, that is a strong argument.
Editing is effortless
You already know how to type in Notion. Adding a link is one line, and it publishes to the web with a toggle.
Unbeatable for documents and lists
Price lists, aftercare instructions, FAQs, schedules — genuinely a great home for those. A lot of Tapline pages link straight into a Notion doc, which is exactly the right division of labour.
Stay with a Notion page if…
- You need a document with structure, not a list of destinations.
- The page is for a handful of people who already know you.
- You do not care who tapped what, and never will.
If one of those describes you, we would rather you did not pay us. A page nobody needs is not a win for either of us.
The difference
What Tapline does differently.
Every line below is a fact about Tapline, checkable on this site today.
It is a landing page, not a document
Big tap targets, one featured block, and a layout designed for a thumb on a phone. A Notion page is a document that happens to be public, and on a small screen that difference is immediately visible.
You find out what happened
A public Notion page can tell you nothing about who visited or what they clicked. Tapline counts views and taps from the moment you publish, on the free plan, and Pro adds per-link taps, a 30-day trend and where visitors came from.
A handle you can read out loud
Your page lives at one short, permanent URL you can say in a video or print on a card, rather than a long generated one.
No account, no password
Publishing mints a private edit link and that link is the credential. Nothing to verify, nothing to reset, nothing to be locked out of.
Analytics on the free plan
Views and taps are counted from the moment you publish, not held back as an upgrade prompt.
Server-rendered, no client JS in the critical path
Your page is HTML and the theme arrives as inline CSS variables, so there is no bundle to download before your links appear.
$48 a year, paid once
Pro is a single payment for twelve months. Nothing auto-renews, and if you never pay again the page stays live at the same URL with every link working.
Moving over from a Notion page
Keep the Notion doc — it is probably a better price list, menu or FAQ than anything we would build. Just stop making it the front door. Put a Tapline page in your bio, and let one of its blocks point at the Notion page for the people who want the detail.
Think we have described a Notion page unfairly? Tell us at hello@linkinbio.nanocorp.app and we will fix the wording. We would rather be accurate than flattering to ourselves.
