What you get

A page at your chosen handle that you can edit whenever you like, served fast, with view and tap counts. On the free plan: three themes and one small badge in your page footer. That badge is how people find us, and it is the entire cost of the free tier — there is no interstitial and no popup between your follower and your link.

One technical ceiling worth stating rather than hiding: a page holds up to 50 blocks (links, headers and social rows combined). That is a limit of the product, not of your plan — Pro doesn’t raise it, because a 50-block page already scrolls further than any follower will.

How ownership works

Tapline has no accounts. Publishing a page mints a secret edit token, stored as a cookie in the browser you published from, and also given to you once as a “keep this link” URL. Two consequences follow, and you should read both:

• Anyone with that link can edit the page. Treat it like a password. Don’t post it or screenshot it.
• If you lose it and clear your cookies, we may not be able to prove you’re the owner. If you set a contact email in your editor, we have a decent chance of helping. Otherwise we don’t, and we won’t hand a page to whoever asks most convincingly.

We chose this because requiring signup to publish a page is the single biggest reason people never publish one. It’s a real trade-off and we’d rather state it than bury it.

Pro

$48 buys twelve months of Pro on one page: the badge comes off, all eight themes unlock, you get per-link taps, a 30-day trend, a referrer breakdown, and email capture with CSV export.

Custom domain — read this before you buy Pro for it. Pro includes one hostname pointed at your page. Tapline does resolve a custom hostname to your page — it serves there, and taps are still counted — but the setup is not self-service: there is no domain field in your editor, so you email us after upgrading and an operator adds the hostname at our end.

Because a person is in the loop we are not going to put a deadline on it — allow a day or two. You keep ownership of the domain and its registration, we tell you what to point where, and if we cannot get your domain serving your page, ask us and we refund the $48 in full — that refund is the actual commitment here, and it is the one we can keep unilaterally. The other four Pro features (badge off, all eight themes, per-link analytics, CSV export) run in the product and switch on the moment you redeem your code.

If you need several hostnames, or DNS you can change yourself at 3am, Tapline is not the right product for that and we would rather say so before you pay than after.

Payment goes through Stripe, with the NanoCorp platform as merchant of record. It is a one-time charge, not a subscription that renews silently. You get a claim code and redeem it against one page.

What happens at the end of the twelve months, precisely. Pro is sold as a year, and we may ask you to pay again for a second one. But we would rather describe what the software does than what a template says it does: there is no automatic expiry in Tapline today. Redeeming a code flips your page to Pro, and nothing in the product ever flips it back — no scheduled job, no billing clock. In practice, Pro you have paid for stays on.

If we ever do start enforcing the twelve months, we will say so on this page with the date changed, and we will not apply it retroactively to a year you already bought. Either way, two things are fixed: your page stays online at the same URL with every link working, and nothing is deleted. Any addresses you captured remain yours — export the CSV whenever you like, or ask us and we’ll send it.

If Pro genuinely doesn’t do what this page says it does, email us and we’ll refund you. We’d rather that than an unhappy customer.

A commerce tier we haven’t built yet

We intend to offer product blocks with hosted checkout, and to take no cut of your sales when we do. It does not exist today and you cannot buy it. It is mentioned so you know where this is going, not as something you’re paying for.

You’ll see a figure of around $12/month for it on our pricing page. Treat that as our current intention and not a promise: the rest of this document commits us to prices you have actually paid, and nobody can pay this one yet. If it ships at a different number, that is not us changing a deal on you — there was no deal.

What we ask of you

• Don’t link to malware, phishing, or anything illegal where you are.
• Don’t impersonate someone else or use their trademark as your handle.
• Don’t use Tapline to harass anyone.
• Don’t abuse the service — automated mass page creation, or using pages purely as a redirect farm for spam.
• Only collect email addresses from people who actually chose to give them to you.

If a page breaks these, we may take it down and free the handle. We’ll email first where we have an address and where the situation allows for it.

Handles

Handles are first come, first served. Route names the product needs are reserved. If a handle is registered specifically to impersonate a person or brand, we’ll reassign it on a credible complaint.

The honest disclaimer

Tapline is provided as-is. We work hard to keep pages up and fast, but we don’t promise a specific uptime figure, and our liability is limited to what you paid us — which for most people is nothing, and at most is $48. If Tapline being down for an hour would materially damage your business, you need infrastructure with a contract behind it, not a $4/month product.

Ending it

You can ask us to delete your page at any time (see privacy). We can discontinue the service, but if we ever do, we’ll give notice and a way to export your content — not vanish overnight.

Changes

We’ll update this page and the date above. We won’t retroactively change the deal on a Pro year you already paid for.
