A link in bio
that gets the date checked.

Your feed is already the portfolio. What your bio link has to do is turn someone who likes a photo into someone who tells you their date — because for most photography work, availability is the deal.

Sample page for photographers: Marisol Reyes. Weddings & portraits, Chicago. Have a date in mind? Blocks in order: Check my date (featured), Weddings, Portraits, Packages from $1,800, Client galleries, Print shop.

This is the actual renderer — the same code that serves a published page. Your version starts here and you rename it from there.

The one that matters

What goes at the
top for photographers.

The first block gets a disproportionate share of every tap, and on a phone it is often the only thing anyone reads. It is worth being deliberate about.

Featured block

Check my date — availability first, everything else after

For weddings, events and anything seasonal, the first question is whether you are even free. Lead with a short form that asks for the date, the location and the type of shoot. It is a smaller ask than “enquire”, it gets you the one fact you need to quote, and it lets you answer with either a real conversation or a fast, gracious no.

Then, in order

Everything else, and the reason it sits there.

Drag any block in the builder — this is the order we would start from, not a rule.

  1. Second: one portfolio per thing you shoot

Weddings, portraits, brands, food — separate blocks. A couple planning a wedding does not want to scroll past product work to reach the thing they came for, and a single mixed gallery makes you look like a generalist to everyone.

  2. Third: pricing, or at least a starting figure

You do not have to publish a full price list, but “packages from” saves you both a week. Enquiries from people who were never in your range are the most expensive kind of admin in this trade.

  3. Fourth: client galleries

A single door to Pic-Time, Pixieset or wherever you deliver. Past clients come looking for their photos months later, and every time they cannot find the link they message you instead.

  4. Fifth: prints, presets, and the socials

Passive revenue and follows both belong at the bottom. They convert off the back of the portfolio, so they need to sit after it, not compete with it.

Once it is live

What the tap counts actually tell photographers.

Compare taps across your portfolio blocks. Photographers routinely discover that the work they most want to shoot is not the work people click, and that is a real business decision: either change what you post, or change what you sell. Without per-link counts you are inferring it from the enquiries you happen to remember.

Enquiry blocks are seasonal in this trade, sharply. Wedding interest concentrates in the months after engagement season, so it is worth putting the date-check block in the featured slot from January and letting portrait or brand work take the top through the quiet months.

A client-gallery block is the cheapest customer service you will ever ship. It costs one line on the page and it removes an entire category of message from your inbox.

Views and total taps are counted on the free plan from the moment you publish. Per-link taps, the 30-day trend and the referrer breakdown are part of Pro at $48 a year. If you stop paying, your page stays live at the same URL with every link working — Tapline has no expiry job today, so Pro you have paid for stays on.
